This is not your typical job fair.
No booths, no resumes necessary. This is a pitch-style event that brings together startups and high-growth tech companies with a curated line-up of talent.
Each event is different. This event is intended for companies hiring college students for internships and project-based work, and junior developers for open positions. We have limited spots available for students and graduates of local universities and code schools to get in front of companies for a chance to land an exciting opportunity.
Companies will have 1-minute to introduce themselves to candidates. Candidates will then have 1-minute to pitch to companies. After the showcase, companies and candidates can enjoy a casual networking period to connect over new opportunities.
This specific event is intended for:
Students seeking internships, apprenticeships, or project-based work with companies ranging from early-stage startups to high-growth tech companies. No cost to participate.
Companies can expect a line-up of vetted talent consisting of:
1) College students pursuing degrees primarily in computer science, business, marketing, data science, and communication.
2) Recent graduates from local code schools including Epicodus, Women Who Code and The Guild.
$99 to participate.
I spent the majority of my junior year applying and searching for internships with no luck. Then I stumbled across PluggedIn and attended a Talent Showcase event. This showcase led to six interviews and a full-time paid internship for the summer.y, beauty emerges from selection, affinities, integration, love.”
I've attended 50+ hiring events and conferences and my favorite has always been the Startup Talent Showcase. The format gives power to the candidate by allowing them to talk to multiple employers at once, while also making talent-seeking easy for employers. I've hired for a few positions at the Startup Talent Showcase - any they're my best hires to date!
